SFHSA Website Re-design

Designing components for improved website usability

ROLE

UI/UX Design Lead

Information Architecture Analysis

San Francisco Human Services Agency website users were having difficulty understanding how to navigate the agency website and finding a way to contact programs directly.

In collaboration with the department of communications and IT, the Innovation Office team designed new web components that could alleviate these pain points and improve the navigation experience.

Process

  • Conducted a Google Analytics and site feedback analysis to identify major pain points

  • Re-designed the information architecture for a program and refined the content to meet the identified persona needs

  • Designed new responsive components for breadcrumbs, page contents, back and next buttons, and contact us with an eye towards accessibility considerations
